Firefighters contained two small fires in Buena Park and Laguna Niguel Tuesday morning, putting them out before they spread.
One person was injured in the Laguna Niguel fire.
In Laguna Niguel, a couch fire at 27992 Via Mirada caused $130,000 in damage, mainly from smoke, but it was put out before it spread to the building.
The fire was reported at 4:52 a.m. and extinguished by 5:03 a.m. A resident was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Capt. Greg McKeown of the Orange County Fire Authority.
In Buena Park, a One Hour Cleaners at the intersection of Valley View Street and La Palma Avenue had a fire in a commercial dryer around 8 a.m.
Firefighters contained the fire to the dryer, where it caused $3500 in damage, McKeown said.
