2 injured in Santa Ana traffic collision
“The men were taken to a hospital suffering from non-life threatening injuries, police said.”
A motorcyclist and a driver were injured when they collided near the I-5 freeway on-ramp at Main Street in Santa Ana, police said.
The accident was reported shortly after 11:30 a.m. in the intersection of Main Street and Buffalo Avenue, near the south on-ramp of the I-5 freeway, said Santa Ana police Cmdr. Stephen Colon.
The initial investigation revealed a motorcyclist was making a left turn to go onto the 5 south freeway when he was struck by an orange Volkswagen GTI that was traveling northbound in the No. 2 lane of Main Street, Colon said.
The motorcyclist and the driver were taken to a hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries, Colon said.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
