2 Killed In Eagle Rock Traffic Collision
Authorities today released the names of a A 21-year- old man and an 18-year-old woman killed when their speeding vehicle crashed into a tree Eagle Rock.
Killed in the crash were Glendale residents Robert Vardanyan and Tina Uguryan, said coroner’s investigator Jerry McKibben.
The accident occurred on the Colorado Street off-ramp from the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway about 9:05 p.m. Thursday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver of the Nissan was speeding and had just cut off another motorist off before crashing into the tree, killing both occupants, a CHP officer told an news camera crew. It was not immediately reported which victim was driving.
The accident prompted the closure of the off-ramp for several hours as the accident was being investigated and the wreckage cleared away.
