5 injured in Laguna Niguel crash
LAGUNA NIGUEL Five people, including two children, were injured when the driver of an Infiniti headed north on Street of the Golden Lantern turned left in front of a Mazda 626 at Marina Hills Drive, authorities said.
Four victims were taken to Mission Hospital; the fifth was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana.
The 3:30 p.m. crash closed southbound lanes on Golden Lantern for about an hour. Both vehicles were totaled, police said.
Police said the Mazda, carrying four people, hit the Infiniti’s passenger side. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
