6 vehicles, 2 accidents lead to SigAlert

“Crash leaves a fuel spill on freeway connector.”

A four-vehicle accident left fuel spilled on the connector road between the westbound 22 and the northbound I-5 freeways this morning.

The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert for at 11:22 a.m. The SigAlert was canceled at 12:43 p.m.

An ambulance responded to the scene but the extent of any injuries wasn’t immediately known, CHP said.

An earlier accident on the same connector involved two vehicles. The two accidents weren’t related except that “the backup from the first may have been a factor in the second,” said CHP officer Gabe Montoya.
