Bicyclist struck and killed by L.A. DWP truck in Reseda

RESEDA – A bicyclist was struck and killed by a Los Angeles Department of Water and Power truck today in Reseda, authorities said.

Paramedics sent to the 7400 block of Louise Avenue about 12:10 p.m. pronounced the woman, in her 30s, dead at the scene, said Devin Gales of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The driver stopped and was questioned by police, who opened an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.

Authorities withheld the victim’s name, pending notification of her relatives.
