Boating Victim Body ID’D

A Moreno Valley boater’s body found in the Colorado River on Saturday has been identified by the San Bernardino County coroner’s office.

David Kerber, 23, was driving his boat southbound on the river at 3:26 p.m. Saturday and while passing another southbound boat, his boat collided with a northbound boat, according to a news release from the coroner’s office. Then Kerber’s boat was struck by the other southbound boat and Kerber was knocked out of the boat, the release states.

Kerber was later found floating face-down in the river and his body was recovered at 6:03 p.m. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
