CHP: Big-rig pushed car under another big-rig

PLACENTIA – A crash involving two big-rigs on the southbound 57 at Chapman Avenue hampered traffic for miles Thursday morning.

The crash occurred at about 5:48 a.m. and is being investigated as a hit-and-run, said CHP officer P. Gomez.

Gomez said the injured driver of the Civic told him he was driving in the No. 4 lane when the big-rig struck him from behind. His car was then forced under another big-rig to his left.

The driver of the truck that hit the Civic fled the scene, Gomez said. The other truck pulled to the right side.

The driver of the Civic was taken to Placentia-Linda Hospital for his injuries, Gomez said.
