Crash involving semi, 3 other vehicles, slows I-405
IRVINE A collision around 8:45 a.m. involving a tractor-trailer and three other vehicles briefly slowed traffic on the I-405 near MacArthur Monday.
An ambulance was sent to the scene, although there were no reports of serious injuries, said officer Denise Quesada of the California Highway Patrol.
“Everyone was able to move their vehicle over to the shoulder,” Quesada said.
A silver sedan and a blue Honda minivan were damaged in the collision. The silver sedan appeared to have suffered the worst damage.
A red Honda Civic also pulled over but did not appear to have any major damage.
One of the drivers told a CHP dispatcher that the tractor-trailer had pulled into her lane, but the cause of the collision was not immediately apparent.
All of the vehicles had pulled to the side of the road by 9:02 a.m.
