Fire put out on yacht in Newport marina
“Blaze is under investigation. Fire extinguisher snuffed flames.”
A fire aboard a docked yacht was quickly knocked out with a fire extinguisher this morning, a fire official said.
The fire was reported shortly after 8 a.m. on a large yacht near 32nd Street and Lido Marina Village, Newport Beach fire spokeswoman Jennifer Schulz said.
No one was injured and it was not immediately reported whether anyone was aboard the vessel at the time.
The fire is under investigation.
