Ford Ranger overturns, one is injured
The driver of a Dodge Dynasty was injured after his vehicle struck the side of a Ford Ranger pickup truck, according to police.
The crash occurred in the intersection of Rio Vista Street and Lincoln Avenue.
According to Anaheim Police Sgt. Rick Martinez, the driver of the pickup was going southbound on Rio Vista Street. He was in the middle of the intersection waiting to turn left when his vehicle was hit by the Dodge, which was going eastbound on Lincoln Avenue.
The Dodge hit the side of the Ford, causing the Ranger to overturn on its side.
The driver of the Ford was trapped inside for a short period of time, Martinez said.
Martinez said firefighters broke the front windshield of the Ford and the man was able to get out through the front windshield. He did not appear to be injured.
The man driving the Dodge suffered injuries to his right hand and wrist, Martinez said.
There were no passengers inside the vehicles. The crash is under investigation.
