Freeway jammed after motorcycle rider rear ends vehicle
Westbound traffic on the 91 freeway is jammed this morning after a motorcyclist apparently rear-ended another vehicle, authorities said.
The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert for the two left lanes on the westbound side of the freeway, east of Lakeview Avenue, shortly after the crash was reported at 8:08 a.m., said CHP officer Denise Quesada.
The motorcyclist was reported to be down after the crash and was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for unknown injuries, Quesada said.
The SigAlert was cancelled at 8:44 a.m. but traffic appeared to be slow on the westbound lanes for at least four miles back, Quesada said.
