Garlic Press/Slicers Recalled by Trudeau Corporation Due to Laceration Hazard
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of Product: Trudeau Garlic Duo Slicers
Units: About 22,000
Manufacturer: Trudeau Corporation, of Canada
Hazard: The garlic duos slicer blades can break during use, posing a laceration hazard to users.
Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received four reports of the products slicer blades breaking. No injuries were reported.
Description: This product is a combination garlic press and slicer. Recalled model numbers 998009, 998010 or 998010CB were printed on the products packing card, hang tag, or UPC label, but not on the product. The units have “Trudeau” embossed on the handle.
Sold at: Department and retail stores nationwide for about $20.

Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled Garlic Duo immediately and contact Trudeau for directions on how to receive a free replacement garlic press and a complimentary set of 3 flipper measuring spoons.
