Major-injury accident’ blocks 4 eastbound 22 lanes
“SigAlert to last at least until 4 p.m., CHP says.”
A crash involving multiple vehicles on the eastbound 22 freeway just east of Harbor Boulevard has led the California Highway Patrol to declare a SigAlert.
The car-pool lane and three left lanes are blocked by the crash, in which at least one vehicle overturned, according to CHP reports.
“It’s involving several vehicles, one of which is on its side, and there’s some people with some broken bones and things like that,” said CHP officer Gabe Montoya. “It’s a major-injury collision.”
The SigAlert is expected to last until at least 4 p.m.
Traffic on the eastbound 22 is backed up past Magnolia Ave.
