Man dies in scissor lift accident at Boeing
“48-year-old Santa Ana man fell off lift while working”
A 48-year-old Santa Ana man was killed when he apparently fell off a scissor lift while working on Boeing’s Huntington Beach campus this afternoon.
Few details were immediately available. According to the Orange County sheriff-coroner, Angel Celaya was working in building 45 at the Boeing campus at 5301 Bolsa Avenue.
He fell off the lift at 4:10 p.m. and was pronounced dead just nine minutes later, according to the coroner.
Huntington Beach firefighters responded to the call but were unable to save him. Several calls to the Huntington Beach Fire Department’s spokeswoman were not returned today.
