Morning freeway crash in LB injures motorcyclist

LONG BEACH – A motorcyclist was injured today in a crash on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Long Beach, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Paramedics sent to the area of Lakewood Boulevard about 6:20 a.m. took the injured man to a hospital in unknown condition, the CHP reported.

The carpool lane and the No. 1 and 2 lanes were blocked for about a half hour. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
