Motorcyclist killed in collision with pickup truck in Northridge

A motorcyclist was killed Friday in a collision with a pickup truck in Northridge, authorities said.

Paramedics sent to the 18200 block of Parthenia Street shortly before 10 a.m. pronounced the 23-year-old man dead at the scene, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The truck driver was unhurt, he said.

The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.

The motorcyclist’s name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.
