Multi-car crash blocks lanes on I-405

“Motorist pulls over to help after 5 vehicles collide.”

FOUNTAIN VALLEY – At least five vehicles have been involved in an injury crash on the northbound I-405 freeway just north of Slater Avenue, blocking two lanes, the California Highway Patrol says.

At 12:44 p.m., the CHP got a report that three lanes were blocked on the freeway after the vehicles collided.
At least one good Samaritan pulled over to the right shoulder to assist.

The CHP issued a SigAlert at 12:53 p.m. for the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes.
CHP officer Gabe Montoya said an ambulance is at the scene but it is not clear whether anyone has been injured.
