One dead in Irvine collision
“Police believe other driver ran a red light.”
IRVINE Police are investigating a midday auto wreck that took the life of a Yorba Linda woman.
The collision occurred just before noon at the intersection of Main Street and Harvard Avenue. Investigators believe one driver ran a red light but did not identify which of them it was. Neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to be a factor in the incident, authorities said.
Police identified the victim as 61-year-old Diana Lynn Ross. She died at an area hospital about an hour after the collision.
Police ask anyone who witnessed the accident to call investigator Linda Villelli at 949-724-7212, Ext. 2002.
