Student hit this morning by car near junior high school

Police have responded to the scene of a collision in which a student was hit by a vehicle this morning just as children were arriving at school.

About 7:45 a.m., police were called to 1500 W. Ball Road near Ball Junior High School, where a 12-year-old girl was reportedly struck by a gray Toyota Corolla.

Initial reports indicated the girl suffered moderate trauma. She was treated by Anaheim Fire paramedics and taken to a hospital.
