Teen skateboarder hit, killed in collision
A 17-year-old Hesperia boy died last night nearly 16 hours after he was hit by a car while skateboarding, according to Riverside County coroner’s officials.
Dustin Rogers Martin died at 9 p.m. Monday at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs.
Martin was hurt at 5:13 a.m. Monday when a sedan hit him along Cottonwood Avenue about 15 yards north of Poplar Street in Hesperia. San Bernardino County deputy sheriffs are investigating the accident.
