Toddler drowns in Banning pool
A 20-month old Banning girl died Wednesday night at a family’s swimming pool.
Banning police and Riverside County paramedics were called to the 1100 block of Dysart Drive at 8:46 p.m. where Daisy Mautalen was found in the family’s swimming pool and not breathing, according to a Banning police report and Riverside County coroner’s officials.
Paramedics began performing CPR and took her by ambulance to the San Gorgonio Emergency Room where she was pronounced dead at 9:35 p.m., Banning police said.
Police are still investigating how the child drowned.
