Two bodies found in electrical vault

wo bodies were found this morning in an electrical equipment vault in San Jacinto after a power failure hit the area, according to Riverside County Fire Department dispatchers.

The discovery was made about 1:20 a.m. in an above-ground vault along the 1000 block of Idyllwild Drive.

It’s unclear whether the victims were involved in an accident or a crime.

“The power went off in San Jacinto,” fire Capt. Carl Calderon recalled at about 6:30 a.m. “When they got there, they found two bodies.”

Riverside County sheriff’s deputies are investigating.
