ALISO VIEJO A man riding a Vespa was injured Tuesday after he hit two vehicles while making a U-turn on Aliso Creek Road, authorities said.
The Vespa rider was heading south on Aliso Creek at 1:10 p.m. and made a U-turn near Glenhurst when he hit the back of a vehicle heading northbound, according to sheriff’s Sgt. D.J. Haldeman. The rider spun out and then struck another vehicle.
He was taken to Mission Hospital, complaining of pain in his ribs.
The vehicles had minor damage.
Haldeman said there did not appear to be any traffic violations associated with the incident, although the sheriff’s department is still conducting an investigation.
