Woman Killed In Wrong-Way Crash On 60 Freeway
Authorities Friday identified a woman who died Thursday after she crashed into a tow truck while driving the wrong way on the 60 Freeway in Mira Loma.
Noemi Hernandez, 28, of Los Angeles, was in a Nissan sedan that collided head-on with a Ford F-450 diesel pickup truck, according to CHP Officer Sylvia Mosley.
The collision took place on the eastbound side of the freeway, just east of the Milliken Avenue exit and just west of the Interstate 15 interchange, at 3:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver of the tow truck suffered minor injuries, Mosley said.
Hernandez was transported to Riverside Community Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 4:43 a.m., according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.
