Woman killed near Nevada state line
A 62-year-old Laguna Woods woman was killed in a head-on collision Monday on the I-15 near the state line with Nevada.
Dhung Ho Wu was a passenger in a Lexus headed north on I-15 around 2:36 p.m. that hit an oncoming minivan, the California Highway Patrol said.
The driver of the Lexus, Diana Tsai-An Wu, 61, also of Laguna Woods, was taken to University Medical Center in Las Vegas.
The Lexus was going more than 70 mph when Wu lost control near Nipton Road and veered across a dirt median into oncoming traffic, the CHP said.
The Lexus hit a GMC minivan driven by Wayne Harrison, 58, of Yucaipa, the CHP said. The four people in the minivan suffered minor injuries.
