Pacific Symphony to play under the stars in Mission Viejo
Help Mission Viejo celebrate its 30th birthday and listen to classics under the stars. The Pacific Symphony heads out for its annual summer field trip into the community this weekend.
“Symphony in the Cities” stops in Mission Viejo on Saturday, July 28, at Oso Viejo Community Park on the Village Green.
The symphony will perform a variety of pieces, including light classical and patriotic standards. Arrive early to enjoy Mission Viejo’s annual “Prelude in the Park,” which begins at 4 p.m.
Before the concert, there will be the Musical Playground starting at 5:30 p.m. with hands-on activities for kids and a chance to meet the musicians. Music Director Carl St. Clair will also lead a conducting clinic – the kids who participate will be invited to help him conduct “Hands Across the Sea” during the concert.
The concert begins at 7 p.m.; families are encouraged to bring picnics and blankets and chairs.
