Authorities name pedestrian killed in suspected Fountain Valley hit-and-run

Authorities in Fountain Valley on Tuesday identified the victim of a suspected hit-and-run incident that happened shortly after midnight on Monday, Aug. 27.

Officers found the body of Patrice Damiani-Peters, 36, after she was apparently struck by a vehicle on Warner Avenue, west of Bushard Street, according to a news release from the Fountain Valley Police department.

Authorities did not immediately say what city Damiani-Peters lived in.

The driver had fled the scene, according to the release.

Investigators have not identified a suspect or released a description of any vehicles potentially involved in the suspected collision with the pedestrian, according to a police spokesman.
