Pets will be blessed Sunday during annual service in Laguna Niguel
Faith Episcopal Church in Laguna Niguel will host its annual Blessing of the Animals Service and Ark of San Juan Pet Adoption on Sunday, Sept. 30. Pets will be blessed at an outdoor service at 9:30 a.m. by The Rev. Dawn Vukich and The Ark of San Juan will feature pet adoptions until noon. All pets must be leashed or caged and photos of pets unable to attend may be blessed.
The animal blessing service celebrates the Oct. 4 Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, who was well known for his love of animals.
In addition to the pet blessing service and animal adoptions, the celebration will include music, refreshments, pet activities and a silent auction benefitting the Ark of San Juan. Ark of San Juan is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing stray pets and providing medical care, food, shelter and training until they can be adopted.
