Where to watch Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and accuser Christine Blasey Ford testify on sexual assault allegation
Embattled Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh and the woman accusing him of sexual assault at a 1982 high school party, Christine Blasey Ford, are set to testify Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
The hearing in the Dirksen Senate office building is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. Pacific time (10 a.m. Eastern).
Cable channels carrying the hearing live include CNN, C-SPAN, Fox News and MSNBC.
All of the major broadcast networks, including ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and PBS, are expected to offer live coverage.
Among the sites streaming the hearing live are the Senate Judiciary Committee’s own web site. USA Today is also planning to stream the hearing.
Facebook and YouTube will also stream the hearing.
On radio, NPR stations, including KPCC-FM (89.3) and KCRW-FM (89.9), are carrying the hearing.
The hearing will begin with statements from committee Chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa and ranking member Dianne Feinstein, D-California.
Then Ford will testify, followed by Kavanaugh.
Each senator on the committee will have five minutes to question each candidate. The committee is made up of 21 senators — 11 Republicans and 10 Democrats.
The Republicans have chosen Arizona prosecutor Rachel Mitchell to question both Ford and Kavanaugh. Democratic senators plan to ask their own questions.
Kavanaugh denies the allegations as well as those made by three other women.
