by in News

Seal Beach police on Monday released surveillance footage of a man suspected of robbing a cell phone store on Sunday, Oct. 14.

A man entered the T-Mobile store at 13936 Seal Beach Blvd. sometime before 7 p.m. and took three Apple iPhones that were on display, the Seal Beach Police Department said in a news release. It said the man had a handgun tucked in his waistband, which he brandished at an employee who tried to talk to him on his way out of the store.

The suspect was seen fleeing the area in possibly an older model, dark colored Honda Civic.

He was described by police as Hispanic, 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing approximately 190 to 210 pounds and between the ages of 20 and 25.

The release said he was clean shaven with short, buzzed hair and was wearing a black baseball hat with a “Michael Jordan” emblem; a black, gray and white shirt with pink writing; and gray or dark faded blue jeans.  He was also wearing white, gray and black Jordan “Pro Strong” shoes and a gold or silver ring on his right hand.

Police asked anyone with information that can help investigators to contact Detective Jeff Gibson at 562-799-4100 ext. 1109.
