Tournament of Roses President Gerald Freeny announced the selection at a coronation ceremony Tuesday evening at the Pasadena Playhouse.

Sequoyah is an independent day school.

When the court was announced earlier this month, Siskel said she was excited to mentor youth.

“I want to show children in the Pasadena area that they can pursue what they’re interested in regardless of the obstacles in their life,” she said.

More to come.
