Blake Dingman, 21, Thousand Oaks mass shooting victim, had been a local athlete

Blake Dingman, 21, a Newbury Park resident, played high school baseball at Hillcrest Christian School in Thousand Oaks.

His Facebook page shows pictures of Dingman with off-road vehicles.

In brief phone interview, Dingman’s great aunt, Janet Dingman of Thousand Oaks, confirmed that he was a victim.

“We were really proud of him,” Janet Dingman said. “He was a really, fun, energetic and loving nephew.”
