Deadly Woolsey fire is now 100 percent contained
Firefighters completed a line around the Woolsey fire burning in Los Angeles and Ventura counties Wednesday, Nov. 21, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
The 100 percent containment was announced at 6:30 p.m. Containment, which had been at 98 percent Tuesday night, is reached when crews create a line around the fire and the flames are not expected to jump the break.

The fire has killed three civilians and injured three firefighters. Flames have destroyed 1,643 structures, damaged 364 others and charred 96,949 acres, the Fire Department said. No additional structures are threatened.
Some 4,000 residents remained evacuated from Malibu and some unincorporated areas of Los Angeles.
The cause of the fire, which started Nov. 8, was under investigation.
