Gunfire strikes one in Anaheim alleyway

Anaheim police were investigating a shooting on the evening of Monday, Dec. 24, that left a man injured.

Gunfire struck a man sometime before 6:35 p.m. in an alleyway near the 500 block of Sabina Street, west of Topeka Street, according to Anaheim Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt. He said the victim was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

He said investigators had not immediately identified any witnesses, and it was unclear how many suspects might have been involved in the incident. Further details were not immediately available.
