Supercross brings off-road racing to Angel Stadium

January means things get loud and dirty at Angel Stadium.

Each year the stadium’s field is covered in dirt tracks for the Monster Energy AMA Supercross stop in Anaheim.

The off-road racing series starts its 2019 season at the stadium on Jan. 5 and then returns on Jan. 19.

The high-octane events start with a FanFest from noon to 6 p.m. Organizers said there will be even more to enjoy at this year’s FanFests with live music, autograph sessions and a virtual reality experience that puts fans on the track.

Qualifying races start at noon and the main races start after an opening ceremony at 6:30 p.m.
