Officers responded to a call at 11:23 p.m. about a crash near the intersection of Fairview Road and McCormack Lane, after one of the vehicles hit a sprinkler power box in the center median, Sgt. Mike Manson said.

Two of the three vehicles were possibly street racing, according to witness accounts, Manson said. He did not know how fast the vehicles were going. No one has been cited so far.

The five people had what appeared to be “moderate” injuries, he said.

No further information was immediately available.
