Residential trash collection delayed a day in several south county cities because of fueling problem

Those living in several south county cities did not have their trash picked up on Tuesday, Jan. 22, because of emergency repairs needed at a fueling station.

Residential trash collection in San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Hills, Aliso Viejo and Rancho Mission Viejo will be delayed by a day for the rest of this week, said Maria Lazaruk with CR&R, which provides trash hauling in several Orange County cities.

For instance, trash regularly picked up on Fridays in the affected communities will be picked up on Saturday this week, she said. The trash missed Tuesday is expected to be picked up Wednesday.

The company couldn’t fuel its trucks in south county because of the unexpected repairs needed at a liquefied natural gas fueling station, Lazaruk said.
