Three men suspected of killing a man in September last year in Anaheim were arrested on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Johnathan Rowe, Larry Douglass II, and Zachary Goemaat, all 19; were arrested on suspicion of killing Julio Cesar Munoz, according to the Anaheim Police Department.

Officials said the body of Munoz, 36, of Placentia, was found by officers near a dumpster in a cul-de-sac on the 1200 block of North Sunshine Way on Sept. 29. He was found with a single gunshot wound in his head.

“Homicide detectives determined that the shooting had occurred just after midnight in the cul-de-sac during a factory party,” the department said. “Factory parties are held at various locations throughout the region and are often staged in industrial areas where guests park their cars and participate in illicit activities.”

Police earlier said evidence indicated the party involved the recreational use of nitrous oxide, or NOS.

Police said detectives interviewed dozens of witnesses, reviewed video footage and executed approximately 20 search warrants before identifying Douglass, Goemaat and Rowe as suspects.

Douglass, an Artesia resident, and Rowe, a Santa Ana resident, were both arrested on Tuesday. Goemaat, also a Santa Ana resident, was arrested on Wednesday.

All three were booked into the Anaheim Detention Facility and transferred to Orange County Jail with a $1 million bail.

The department said it isn’t releasing details on motive, but believes the killing was not gang-motivated.
