Cypress man arrested on suspicion of killing family member

CYPRESS – A 23-year-old Cypress man was behind bars Wednesday, Feb. 13, on suspicion of killing an 84-year-old family member.

David Tenorio was booked on suspicion of killing David Tenorio Sr., said Cypress police Sgt. Scott Ausmus. The two were related, but investigators declined to say how.

The suspect, who was arrested late Tuesday night, was being held on $1.1 million bail, according to jail records.

Police were called to 6804 Ossabaw Court about 9:25 a.m. Tuesday on a “medical aid” request, Ausmus said. When officers arrived, they found the octogenarian’s body, Ausmus said.
