The skies stayed blue and the park turned pink and furry Sunday as dozens of dogs pawed around to raise money for breast and canine cancer research.

The seventh annual Paws FUR Pink fun run/walk at Irvine Regional Park in Orange brought in $10,000 for Susan G. Komen Orange County and the National Canine Cancer Foundation, event manager Lisa Scolman said.

Since its inception, Paws FUR Pink has raised almost $100,000.

A canine yoga session kicked off the morning, to loosen up paws for the 5k run/walk. A dog costume contest ended the day as Harley, a magical yorkie dressed as a unicorn, took first place.
