Police: Intoxicated, combative man arrested after rescue from Laguna Beach cliff
LAGUNA BEACH — It took Laguna Beach police and an Orange County sheriff’s helicopter to rescue a man from a cliff off Smithcliffs Road in Laguna Beach on Saturday while he resisted their efforts, authorities said.
The rescue effort was reported about 2 p.m. in the north side of Laguna Beach, authorities reported on Twitter.

Police tweeted about an hour later that the “rescue subject was intoxicated and ended up attempting to fight public safety personnel. After a short flight in handcuffs the subject was transported to Laguna Beach jail for the booking process.”
