Head-on collision in Anaheim leaves one dead, four others hospitalized
ANAHEIM — One person was killed and four others critically injured Sunday, March 3, in a head-on crash on an Anaheim street.
When firefighters arrived at around 7:30 p.m. to Cerritos Avenue, between Dallas Drive and Whitegate Road, they found two heavily damaged vehicles.
Two people had to cut out a vehicle, said Battalion Chief Chris Richichi of Anaheim Fire & Rescue. Four were taken to trauma centers, with Ricardo Monroy, 61, of Anaheim, the driver of one of the vehicles, pronounced dead at a hospital.
Both directions of Cerritos Avenue are closed between Dallas and Whitegate due to a fatal traffic collision. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes until further notice. pic.twitter.com/twpNfusgAj

Anaheim police were investigation what led to the crash and if alcohol or drugs played a role.
