Police search for Santa Ana man suspected of lewd acts with underage relatives

Police continue to search for a Santa Ana man suspected of sexually assaulting two children, and asked for the public’s help on Wednesday, March 27.

A relative of Omar Ricardo Baron, 48, of Santa Ana confronted him on Nov. 2 and accused the suspect of committing lewd acts with two underage family members before notifying authorities, according to a Santa Ana police news release. One of his alleged victims was 10, and the other was 13 years old, according to police.

Barona fled his home before officers could contact him. A warrant for his arrest was issued Nov. 19, and police were still working to locate him Wednesday.

The suspect is wanted by Santa Ana police on suspicion of oral copulation and lewd acts with a child, and is aware he is being sought by authorities, according to the release.
