Construction vs. Cancer event at Angel Stadium builds kids’ fascination with big machines
What kid – and really what adult – doesn’t get excited at the sight of a bulldozer at work or a crane lifting a big piece of metal?
On Sunday, April 28, the American Cancer Society tapped into that nearly universal love of heavy machinery for a fundraiser that put families – for a donation of $10 – behind the controls of several big pieces of construction equipment.
Pediatric cancer families from around the region were invited to ride the equipment for free at the Construction vs. Cancer SoCal event at Angel Stadium.
