Driver killed in Anaheim crash on 91 Freeway identified as 21-year old Vista man
The driver of a Chevy Camaro who died early Friday, June 14, after the car veered into a guardrail on the 91 Freeway in Anaheim, was identified by authorities Saturday as a 21-year-old man from San Diego County.
Vista resident Joseph Salcido was declared dead at about 1:46 a.m. near the scene of the crash, Orange County Coroner’s officials said in a press release. He sustained fatal injuries when he was ejected from the driver’s seat and was possibly struck by another vehicle, according to a California Highway Patrol statement.
Three other men from Vista who were passengers in the collision were injured in the collision, CHP officials said. They were taken to UCI Medical Center and treated for moderate injuries.
