Police seek driver they say purposely hit 2 pedestrians in Fullerton
Police are seeking a driver who they believe intentionally hit two pedestrians in Fullerton early Saturday morning, July 13, and then fled the scene.
Officers responded to a call at 1:58 a.m. at Elm and Raymond avenues and found two men thought to be in their 20s lying in the street. They told police the driver purposely ran them over, Fullerton Police Sgt. Matt Martinez said.
Martinez said the skid-mark pattern in the street also indicated the vehicle deliberately veered into the men. He did not know the type of vehicle or how fast it was going.
The driver and the men apparently had a dispute and bottles had been thrown, Martinez said. He did not know who threw them, or what the fight was about.
The victims were taken to a hospital in critical condition, he said.
A photo taken from the scene shows a pair of boots lying in the road.
Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call 714-882-9537.
