Fire destroys building with athletic equipment at Magnolia High School in Anaheim
A storage building holding athletic equipment at Magnolia High School was destroyed in a fire on Wednesday night, July 17.
Firefighters were called shortly after 9:30 p.m. to the campus, at 2450 W. Ball Road, where they found the storage building on the field engulfed in flames.
The building is in the field area, away from the main school buildings, Anaheim Fire & Rescue’s Capt. Brent Faulkner said.
“This was an out building,” Faulkner said. “It doesn’t affect the main body of the school at all.”
Firefighters were able to get it under control in about 15 minutes, though much of the athletic equipment inside was destroyed. A shed next to the building also had heat and water damage.
Investigators were working to determine what started the blaze.
