Man on skateboard hit and killed by a car in Westminster

A 21-year-old man on a skateboard died after getting struck by a car in Westminster Wednesday night, July 24.

Officers responded to Goldenwest and Main streets shortly after 10:10 p.m., Cpl. Alan Aoki said, finding the man down on the sidewalk.

Paramedics performed lifesaving procedures but the man died at the scene.

The driver cooperated with investigators. It does not appear drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.

It was unclear what led to the incident.
