17-year-old pedestrian hospitalized with serious injuries following Brea crash
A traffic collision in Brea left a 17-year-old pedestrian hospitalized with serious injuries on Tuesday, July 30.
The crash happened near the intersection of Brea Boulevard and Lambert Road, Brea police said in a tweet at 7:46 p.m. One vehicle was involved in a collision with a male who was on foot.
He was taken to UCI Medical Center with serious injuries, police said. Department officials described him as a La Habra resident, but his name was not made public Tuesday evening.
The vehicle driver stayed at the scene, CBS Los Angeles reported.
Authorities diverted traffic away from the area as police conducted an investigation. Motorists heading west on Lambert Road toward the site of the crash were diverted north at Brea Boulevard. Drivers traveling north on Brea Boulevard and approaching from the scene from South were forced to turn right and head east on Lambert Road.
